To find out, our recent study surveyed 13 darknet drug vendors, via online encrypted interviews. By shutting down Archetyp, authorities have not only disrupted a criminal marketplace but potentially saved lives by limiting access to some of the deadliest substances available online. The region-specific data on the darknet drug trade, particularly in Russia, has been sparse. Our research aims to fill that gap by presenting a comprehensive, quantitative analysis of the average number of diverse types of drugs traded on the darknet per 100,000 people across different Russian regions.
